As an autistic person, I have my stereotypes, and one of them is biting. I’m always biting my lips or fingers. When I’m nervous or having a meltdown, the bites that are normally small and chewing gently become self-injurious. But when I’m little, it escalates even more. That’s why I use teethers to help me not hurt myself.
