also its amazing what positive influence around you does for your ability to just be you

i was more visibly disabled, probably, in a lot of ways - at least, my stimming was much more visible and active and dramatic, my movements were decidedly more autistic

and it was wonderful. i could be me. because the other people around me were being them, and they were like me. it was okay. 

we were okay.
