that horse’s name is actually zenyatta!! she was almost undefeated in 20 races (came 2nd in her last one ever) and was inducted into the national museum of racing and hall of fame after she retired. i don’t really follow racing because of moral objections, but she was hard to miss stories about a few years ago o:

i agree for the most part w/the other repliers, but i also think it depends on who theyre writing about? like, on how much of a Character the person is playing. for instance: daredevil is completely a persona (or used to be), cyclops is basically just himself with a uniform on. i guess basically like, the x men dont really have secret identities and thus might be a little weirder to write rpf about

i think the public view of superheroes might play into it? like, superheroes in-universe are sort of 'characters' being 'played' by ordinary people, so it's less weird to write fanfiction if you're doing it about the costumed 'character' (fic about RL identities wld still be weird though probably. so like, iron man fic: ok, tony stark fic: not ok)

probably? i mean, in my mind superheroes are kind of deified by society at large (at least everyone who isn't a mutant) and i doubt kamala would do something like that if the thought of it being invasive even crossed her mind. plus she references other people doing it?
these are all really good honestly and kind of similar to what i was thinking? that maybe the whole “hero persona” thing plays into it a lot and it’s not viewed as rpf if you’re writing about the character rather than the person behind them

By the time she’s gotten here she’s knocked back a triple shot so I shudder to think what something stronger would be, thus the asking. She on water pills now too. Drinking too much cranberry juice out the bog.
