not a full team but i did assign everyone pokemon

the company - 

gandalf - braviary, sigilyph, uxie probably likes him a lot

bilbo - appletun, alcremie (strawberry sweet, vanilla cream), swablu (evolves on the journey) (altaria is a powerful pokemon but swablu is also cute enough to be popular in the shire)

thorin - aegislash, klefkei (his dad’s, from gandalf. guards the key to erebor)

fíli - rockruff, doublade (from thorin), applin (probably found it in the shire)

kili - decidueye, rockruff

oin - chansey, audino (both have healer as their ability)

gloin - cubone, meowth, gimmighoul

balin - grumpig, runerigus

dwalin - tinkaton, pangoro

bofur - diglet, drilbur 

bombur - fidough, teddyursa

bifur - golett, sudowoodo 

dori - glameow, polteageist (phony form, because it's funny)

nori - thievil, impidimp (pickpocket ability, yes that is where ori's tinkatink got it from), liepard 

ori - smeargle, tinkatink (pickpocket ability, from dwalin), espurr

bonuses - 

dain - emboar, lechonk

thranduil - sawsbuck, brambleghast, ariados

bard - gyarados (not technically his but likes him a lot), buizel, dhelmise

beorn - ursaring, combee, wooloo, furfrou, miltank, mudsdale, (none of them are his, they just like to chill, mostly normal, grass, and bug types hang out with him)

belladonna - lilligant, togetic 

bungo - diggersby (helped build bag-end), cutiefly

radagast - this man is constantly surrounded by pokemon. shaymin probably hangs with him when it's not in the shire somewhere 

tldr -

normal types are everywhere

hobbits get grass, bug, and fairy 

 types mostly, sometimes flying.  bilbo gets a dragon because he's bilbo. not a lot of battles in the shire, so not a lot of pokemon tend to evolve 

dwarves get steel, rock, ground, and fighting, but theming overrules everything 

elves get psychic and grass

men get normal, although laketown in particular has a lot of water and dragon types

I love the Aegislash and Doublade combo for Thorin and Fíli as his heir. And I love it so much that you gave Dwalin Pangoro. Just today I had a Pangoro tcg card in my hand and read the pokedex entry: kinda rough, but doesn't like bullying, which is very fitting for Dwalin. Also, Gloin having a Meowth is peak.

These are all such a mood and so much fun!

I could also see dragon pokemon being frowned up upon by Dwarves and so Fíli probably thinks he's picking up a funny little plant guy, until they notice it is indeed a small dragon, but by then little Applin is already part of the team. Imaging him having a Hydrapple as a king.

I thought about it and I could see the Line of Durin all having at least one ice or even better a fairy pokemon as a defense against dragons.

What do you think about this:

Thorin has as you wrote Aegislash and Klefkei, but also Zacian, which has aided the King of Durin's Folk for generations. He doesn't really own it, but it supports him in the same way it will support Fíli one day and shows up whenever they are in danger.

Fíli has Duoblade, Alolan Vulpix (a gift by traveling Dwarves), which they can evolve in Erebor after finding an ice stone between the treasure, and funny little guy Applin.

And, Kíli has additionally a Carbink.

It could also be part of the story line that most of the evolution stones got lost, when Smaug took Erebor, and so they can't evolve some of their pokemon.

This is fun!

mutual pining and The Big Damn Kiss

this…… is not technically an AU because it could…. happen

so we know tabitha is pining. she’s definitely pining, but the problem is that she doesn’t know that it’s mutual pining. 

and yashee is just now starting to realize that… hey… maybe tabitha likes her, and maybe… maybe she likes tabitha, too.

i’m guessing this pining is going to keep gaining speed, especially in yashee’s case, especially once she’s regularly seeing tabitha again.

so picture this: tabitha, pining, thinking that yashee has no idea. yashee, pining, but not having the courage to do anything about it.

and then. AND THEN. we get a battle couple moment. the group is separated, and yashee and tabitha are on their own, fighting multiple enemies, trying to keep each other safe. and things get dodgy- yashee takes a big hit, and tabitha sees her fall and PANICS. 

tabitha manages to defeat the rest of the enemies, and she rushes to yashee’s side, healing her. and as soon as yashee’s eyes flutter open, tabitha is overwhelmed with love and without even really thinking about it, she kisses her.

it’s quick, because tabitha is so so nervous (she thinks it’s one-sided, remember), and yashee is surprised but.... but if she wasn’t in love before, she sure is now.

(the boys find them a couple minutes later, hugging and laughing and crying and kissing, surrounded by defeated enemies)

I could go on about Irene and kardala forever. They work out a schedule for who gets the body, with exceptions for emergencies. Remy fascilitates. Irene’s family is a bit unsettled by the new tenant(???) but Remy’s nibbling is instantly enamored. Nadia has a couch in her lab, and everyone crashes on it because it is amazingly comfortable. Mary changes everyone’s ringtone to walking on sunshine

i have so much love for the headcanon that irene and kardala become friends and reach an understanding eventually. they can talk to each other in their head, sometimes, and they both know when the other is more important in any given moment. they both just want to help their friends in any way they can, and sometimes kardala is better for that, and sometimes irene is

and YES they take turns visiting nadiya when she’s working on something big (they know she never gets enough sleep) and they all say that they’re going to keep her company but then they fall asleep and after a few too many times where remy fell asleep on the floor she got a new couch, and now they have sleepovers sometimes, just so nadiya knows she isn’t alone

mary ends up being That Friend that everyone loves and hates at the same time and she pulls the best pranks and they all try to get back at her but she’s too good at it
