[symbol alt text below]
definition: the intersection between autism and unique interests; experiencing unique interests in a uniquely (hehe) autistic way
This term is based on the diagnostic criteria for ASD (autism spectrum disorder)—autique/unique interest covers these intense interests where special interest and hyperfixation do not.
The use of autique to describe ones own interests is exclusive to autistic people (including well-informed self-diagnosed people). Autique interest is NOT for "transautistic" allistic people.
Symbols:

The above flags and symbols are a mix from darling-husband's unique interest flags/symbols, ShinyUmbreon465's autism flag, and the infinity symbol.
