YouTube's auto-dubbing "feature" is doing some weird things to some videos. It hit the US-specific 6.4 The Dark Throne patch trailer, and watching it on the actual site, the voice over dialogue is an inaudible mess. Watching the video in Discord? It's fine! Here on Tumblr? Fine!

But as part of my trailers playlist on the site, it's weirdly screwed up (I've subbed in the British video to the playlist meanwhile; same English dialogue but the European ratings info on it)

So good job, YouTube and Google, your enshittifying with unnecessary genAI and ways of trying to control your users' content is breaking (decades worth of) videos that were working just fine for years.

Went to watch a YouTube video I had seen before only to find the audio was now different and out of sync. Checked options and the video had been autodubbed… but the original video was ALREADY IN ENGLISH. They autodubbed a British accent into an American one. I hate this stupid website.
