Auto-translations are more often than not incorrect and/or literal translations.

Images tend to not get translated. So you're getting a mix of the original language and the language the website automatically assigned to you.

It makes it more difficult for the user to understand what it can expect from your website or app. (e.g. if a YouTube-thumbnail has English words in it, but the title of the video is in German, I'm not sure whether to expect the video to be in German or English now. Or, if a webshop auto-translates a page to Polish, but doesn't ship to Poland, you're not properly fulfilling the user's expectations, and confusing them in the proces).

All these things combined ensure that auto-translated texts read like you have a fucking aneurysm.

Not to mention........bilingual people exist. Or people are learning a secondary/third/fourth language and want to read the content in its original form.
