bizarre experience of the day: a friend sent me a video of a cat at Stonehenge. There are lots of visitors mumbling and laughing but I caught one person saying something in German so I translated it for my friend. My friend was confused because the video is in English. I opened it on YouTube instead of in the messenger and discover it was auto dubbed. The German sounded so natural that I didn't realize that. The cadence, word choice, the way it blended into the other sounds. I fully believed this was a German tourist. The weirdest thing is that the English original has a completely different voice and cadence that made sense for English.

I hate it when yt translates titles like this
... youtube. what in the actual fawk is a "Mari kita jatuhkan mati"? ("feat" not included) do you think all yt video titles should be translated into indonesian? NO. you literally made this feature AND the auto dubbing feature exist just to make yt users mad (including me). fix this app. NOW. or I will cancel this app.
