on a less jokey note (after this i’m seriously done i promise) the most compelling part of a beta/alpha relationship, or a beta/omega relationship, is to me the fact that you have to meet each other halfway. it’s a relationship that requires compromise and sacrifice. your body wasn’t built to take theirs, or soothe theirs. there’s nothing you can do about that. you can bear with the discomfort for them, or try to fit into the gaps— run yourself ragged trying— or you can do your best to offer them comfort and relief in the ways you are able without putting yourself in a situation that would scare you or hurt you. it’s ultimately up to each couple... but it has so much to do with learning what the other person goes through, learning each other’s limits, reaching a mutual understanding that there are things you’ll have to give up for the relationship to work and then still doing it. mwah. chefs kiss
