Damn, it is wild for me to watch the same people who have said, “GRRM doesn’t owe us anything” for almost a decade now... Rant and rave that “D&D were offered 10 seasons of Game of Thrones but they fucked off to work on Star Wars! They’re such selfish dicks!” I mean, they’ve pretty much said all along that they only wanted seven seasons but you know... Who cares about facts.

If GRRM, aka one singular human being, does not owe you anything, then neither do D&D. And even if for some reason they did, are you truly so delusional to believe that every one of the hundreds- ACTUAL LITERAL HUNDREDS-  of other people who worked on this show are automatons?

GRRM doesn’t owe you a few hundred hours of typing but the massive cast and crew of this show owes you years of their lives being uprooted from their homes? They owe you holding back their careers to work on one show for 15+ years? They owe you not only frequent extreme discomfort, but risks to their relationships, their mental and physical health, just for you?

What about Sophie Turner? Beautiful, amazing Sophie has come forward recently about how this toxic waste dump of a fandom has taken an enormous toll on her well being. But yeah, let’s subject her to four or five more years of bullshit just so you can have a television show.

Or sweet and adorable Isaac, who can’t wear contacts, spent all day squinting on set, probably giving himself headaches and worsening his vision, all so that assholes can tweet about how he needs to get pushed out a window for real.

All of the people who have to sit through 2-7 hours of hair and makeup and then film for 10-12 hours who are pretty much already at their breaking point, should have continued on for your entertainment?

Everyone who has to train for fight scenes and/or work out, has to keep doing it over and over for you? Even those like Iain and Rory, who are not exactly 25 anymore? Shit, Rory spent a day getting thrown around like a ragdoll by a dude who can deadlift a thousand pounds.

All of these people with family and friends should continued to be dragged all over the world (most of these places a good 20-30 degrees hotter or colder than what they’re used to) just for you? Even Kit, who is a newlywed, and his wife also acts and probably doesn’t wanna chose between her career and being apart? Or Lena, who has young children under the age of ten?

All of this for barely an hour of screen time per season???

Filming The Long Night took took like 12 weeks and it nearly wrecked the cast and crew to work for so long at night in the freezing cold. But, oh no, the Night King was defeated way too fast! You need a whole season of battles like that. Of course, winter only lasts so long, so they’ll probably only be able to film 1.5 to 2 episodes a year. Enjoy your 4 year hiatus.

And while we’re at it, lets force poor puppies and their trainers to long hours of filming and make the effects team spend ages editing said doggies so that you can have more direwolves.

Or what about the stunt guys who have literally set themselves on fire? Do they need to keep doing that for you, too?

If the selfish entitlement, cruelty, and immaturity weren’t infuriating enough, the raging hypocrisy is a special kind of appalling.

Yeah, the pacing this season was unfortunate and shitty, but fucking hell. It would have been way worse to let HBO drag it out as long as they were hoping to. At least we got to keep the majority of our amazing cast and crew and our absolute rock star of a composer. And while I definitely don’t love some of their choices, at least we got people who stayed as close to GRRM’s endgame as they could manage. I doubt anyone else would have had the balls. And fan service or not, they’ve given us tons for fan made alternate edits, YouTube videos, gifsets, etc. And fan fiction is free.

It’s very clear that a majority of the people involved with this show were at their limit, which is the main reason why they decided to end it. Stop shitting on them. Sorry not sorry that the lives of the hundreds of people are more important than your entertainment. This ain’t the Hunger Games. Fuck off.

i really wish they could of kept that scene in bpwf when shuri confronts riri about stealing the code to her AI griot but the series definitely confirmed that she took that code and ran with it😭😭
