anaxa is a true innovator in the field because he establishes a surveillance system where you're the one keeping him abreast of new developments. he does this both indirectly and directly. regarding the former, he'll peruse your journals, sketches, annotations, what books/research you've checked out recently; no detail is overlooked. he's nothing if not a thorough stalker. he takes care to never reveal the depth of his knowledge, lest you get suspicious and increase your vigilance. some yanderes relish in the thrill of cat and mouse, he's not one of them. you're understandably wary of him, revealing as little of yourself as you can when he's around, so this is his way of accessing your inner world. he won't risk it for anything.
trying to outwit a man of his caliber is a losing battle. no matter what you do, it always feels like he manages to extract something of value, much to your frustration. you're both aware that he knows more than he lets on, yet you can never prove these hunches. the lack of evidence is maddening. still, as previously mentioned his restraint serves him well. you never would've imagined that he's rummaged through your personal belongings, you just assume his insight into your psyche is an extension of his brilliance.
you give him everything he needs while being none the wiser. piece by piece, he builds a general idea of your daily habits and routine. it's not 100% accurate, but it's close enough. for instance, at the entry hour's first quint, he can guess what you're up to, your first meal of the day, the outfit you'll wear depending on the temperature, etc. this becomes a little game he plays with himself for fun. his accuracy continues to improve, frighteningly so. his understanding of you is genuinely impressive.
