Leo could easily tear his classmates apart. He knew it and struggled not to do it on a regular basis. He didn't know why it should matter whether he did or he didn't, only that it should and it DID.
School had started up again and it had been a grand three days before he'd gotten caught up in the trouble that always came with a couple of the jocks. He wasn't trying to horn in on their territory. He didn't play sports. He had no interest in dating their girls. The only thing he could figure is that he was an easy target and they were too cowardly to do much else. He tried to run as soon as the bell rang but he only got as far as the school's back alley before someone grabbed the hood of his sweatshirt and threw him against the brick.
He was, more or less, indestructible, but the violent motion knocked the air out of him with a wheeze. Brett; the captain of the lacrosse team, smirked down at him, kicking him roughly in the ribs before he had a chance to say anything. He whimpered out, swallowing a curse. His eyes flickered honey-gold but he bit the wolf down. They didn't know what they were doing. He couldn't be held responsible for injuring them. He couldn't draw attention to the supernatural element living directly under people's noses. "What a pussy. He won't even fight back..." His friend laughed and hauled Leo to his feet. He growled but that didn't do anything but earn him a harsh right hook. "Shut up you little fucker!"
“C’mon, Goldina!” Billie tugged at the taller girl-no, woman would be better given the fact that Goldina was well over 10 thousand years old-’s hand.
“Are you sure they’re nice?” Goldina was tall and muscular, and might have appeared to be a human of Asian descent were it not for her red eyes and large black wings.
“Well they aren’t all nice, but I promise compared to your parents and that one person neither one of us like, they’re saints.”
“Oh. Okay then.” Goldina squeezed Billie’s hand happily. She could be a bit skittish and childlike at times.
“There’s someone I want you to meet. Sometimes he’s a bit dramatic, so just go with it, okay? Hey! Pretty Pony, c’mere!”

“Your unending thirst will be your ultimate downfall.” (-Dad. Which one? Pick one.)
¿cuántos papás hay ahora?
❝ …I now truly understand the need for the knifes to be in a cupboard above the sink. ❞ If a dad joke so bad that it made her want to stab something existed, it would be this one.
A funny thing happened after Transylvania...(drabble)
"So why is Romulus' dad here, and why is he staring at me?" Bram didn't often show obvious nervousness, least of all around his close friends. He stared at the tall, white-furred wolf who seemed to be staring at them both from the kitchen doorway.
"He's not staring at you; he's making sure I'm eating." Artemis poured two bowls of chili before handing her friend one. "The day I got home from Transylvania wasn't the best. Deugi and I had yet another argument about that trip, and he said the only reason that it went so well was because there was a wolf on every corner."
Bram blinked, and kept his gaze impassive, though there were a range of emotions going on in his head. For a second, he almost forgot she'd mentioned wolves-he was just concerned with 'not eating' and 'argument.' Keeping his voice calm, he said, "So then what happened?"
"We shouted at each other for a while until we broke up right there in the middle of the maul. I guess I've joined the ranks of teenage drama, even if I have graduated." She snorted. "Anyway, we both stormed off, and I saw Romulus and cornered him about the wolf on every corner bit. He said his dad had followed me over there as a silent chaperone, and had gotten some of the local wolves to check in on me."
"And let me guess, you went to see Mr. Tall and Brooding?" Bram asked, still casting a wary gaze at the kitchen doorway.
"Yes." Artemis took a bite of her chili, then another, and then watched as Bram breathed a sigh of relief. Apparently Romulus' dad had moved out of the doorway. "Of course Romulus thought I was nuts-apparently the pack thinks he's pretty much the baddest fucker in the room-"
"Can't imagine why-" Bram mumbled between bites.
"Anyway, I've spent days on end wondering if I'm going to be tortured at the point of a wand, so someone's dad really doesn't scare me much." She shrugged. "I asked him what went on, yelled at him, said he should have been honest about the whole thing, pouted about the boyfriend not coming along if it meant that much to him, and went into a crying fit."
Bram watched impassively, still trying to keep his emotions in check. "And?"
"Eventually we came to an understanding. That regardless of this whole vampires vs. werewolves thing, I hadn't gone for that. I'd gone for me, to move on from my own...bad exprience." They never talked about what had happened to her mother. He said he'd talk to Deugi. We spent a couple of days together-"
Bram almost choked on his chili at that point.
"Not that kind of together. We slept in the same bed, but only because I had bad dreams. And this whole thing has left me not wanting to eat or do much. He comes at night usually, though sometimes he drops by earlier." She shrugged. "Clawd comes by in the mornings. We were never close before, but after this whole thing, I called him because if anyone knows about vampire werewolf relations, it's him." She watched as Bram finished his chili and stood up. "Going already?"
"I'm going to pick up Gory and give a werewolf a piece of my mind," Bram said.
