Envy was damn well furious at the sight it finally came across. While the homunculus was not empathetic, it was possessive. And given that it and Greed had been.... an odd mix of sibling bickering and actually getting along recently, it really was not pleased someone had been torturing its brother.

It quickly crossed the room in long strides when Greed started coughing. It crouched down, studying over its brother as he explained what had been happening. He really did not look good.

“Hey… you got any philosopher’s stones on you? I might be tapping out of my personal reserves here soon.”

And that explained it.

“Other than my own, no. I don’t,” Envy informed him. It quickly tried to rub off the blood from the corner of his mouth.

“Gods you look awful... Can you walk if I get you free?” It asked.

     isobel couldn’t help but release an unfiltered chuckle at the stranger’s words, a small smile gracing her usually pursed lips prompted easily by the uncommon bluntness and detachment his statement was spoken with despite the subject matter.

     ❝ isobel, ❞ she introduced in response to his prompt, offering a polite nod as she did so before continuing, ❝ that’s a far cry from the case, actually. i’d say my employers clean up a little too well, and i’m not much different. most people aren’t so unbothered by accidental murders, though. i respect that. ❞

◤Short starter for @avariciousprince

       A lot of things had started to change in the country of Amestris, Old laws and Regulations had been replaced by newer ones, citizens had been more happier and friendlier, the city is with peace and the people of Ishval was content with how team mustang build their city back to it’s original Glory.

         The new fuhrer was pleased with this outcome, however Grumman want to extended the country’s connection further. After Team Mustang had finished fixing the city of Ishval, they had found a new task and it was to tighten their relationship with the Xings.

          That is why, Riza found herself bowing on the marbled floor of xing’s palace, it was what she had known, a  custom that even she has to follow. There on the middle, Emperor Ling sat with grace and pride. She had met the man once, during the time they managed to catch Gluttony, and from what riza had realized, the man she was bowing at now was different from the man she had first meet.

           “ I would like to express my deepest gratitude for welcoming us despite your busy schedule, Emperor Ling. “ She mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. “

There was a lot in play that kept her from saying what she normally would have without hesitation. This night had started off with some drinks. The drinking continued back at her apartment where some clumsy footing led to where they were now.

Truth be told, she’d meant to move the scissors long before now. But she’d tripped, and in catching herself several things happened: the scissors had turned and swung open under her hand when she reached out to catch herself; her hip, when colliding with the counter, had an unfortunate meeting with the now exposed blade.

“Let me put some pajamas on before you ruin these pants any more. I’ll knock all of your teeth out if you try anything now.” Grabbing the dish towel as a sacrifice to save her flooring, she held it to the wound and hobbled into her bedroom, calling out to him. “Might as well come on, you’re already looking at me like a snack, weirdo.”

"Everything hurts...."

“Of course it does, you idiot! What did you expect after antagonizing Pride like that?!” Envy needed to calm down, the insult slipped out because it was so worked up. Greed had healed, but he still looked like he had just been used as a lion pride’s scratching post. All because of Envy. 

“…Why the hell did you do that?” The younger homunculus demanded as it carefully tried to wipe away the blood on its brother’s face. “Pride belittles me all the time. Why did you have to make him mad like that?” It did lose the natural anger in its voice and for once it sounded scared. Still wiping at the blood.

Leviathan slowly started to ‘regain consciousness’ but they did not open their eyes yet. They wanted to groan, but they restrained themselves. They could feel that their right eye was swollen and the laceration on the right side of their face. Great, how were they going to explain that?!

The hybrid had been... They supposed the proper term would be ‘dragged before’ their Father while their body slept again. Something that hadn’t happened in a long time. Well before the past month or so they had been living with Ling and the other one, anyway. And of course, one of the other entities didn’t like it when Leviathan actually stood up for themselves, and had struck them out of anger. Which meant their physical body took the damage as well. Hence the cut and black eye that appeared out of nowhere and with no logical explanation.

Even though Leviathan had been living with Ling and the other one for a bit now, they still were hesitate to let them know about anything regarding their Father. Their Father...was not human, and had always been a forbidden topic with their human relatives. So they had never mentioned these out of body sessions to anyone before, and didn’t really want to start doing so now if they could avoid it. Maybe they still could; they were fairly certain the other one was out before they fell asleep, and they were sleeping out on the couch. If they got up and tended to the swelling and cut now, it hopefully wouldn’t be as noticeable by the time the other one got back or when Ling got up and they could pretend they ran into something in the dark while going to get a drink or something. Yeah, that... wasn’t great but it would work. Leviathan groggily opened their left eye and as much as they could of their right eye, and absent mindedly glanced around the room.

Only to have their red irises fall on the other one right there in the room with them. They started, heart almost stopped for a second.

Shit! How long had he been there?! Leviathan blinked, before gritting their teeth and shoving the anxiousness back down. They gave the other a small wave.

"That greed, it'll kill ya."

The hybrid growled at Ling. It knew he was referring to its habit of becoming possessive of any scrap of food he gave it and wolfing it down as quickly as possible before he could change his mind and take the food away from it. Even if his demeanor and expression seemed light and non confrontational, the hybrid didn’t trust him. It knew better.

It grabbed the remaining bit of food and quickly stuffed it in its mouth.
