Recently I’ve realized I’m non binary, or at least majorly non binary. I was AFAB, but I never really found she/her fit me. I tried being trans masc for awhile, and it felt better, but it still never quite fit me. I feel comfortable in they/them/he/him, and I definitely still have a ways to go on my journey, but I felt like sharing my first step :)

nonbinary joy is using as many gendered words* to describe yourself as possible, to the point that they all feel contradictory to a heteronormative, binary mind, and you just confuse everyone so much that they no longer associate you with any gender, no matter if you came out to them or not.
*[ every single word in my primary language is gendered (as in, everything is called per "she" or "he" - even objects and concepts), so a lot of the nonbinary folk in my country just have to get creative with it. hence, in my case, using so much binary terminology, that it causes an overload and crashes into a lovely nonbinary mess ]

My favourite experience ive had since I realised I was enby was uh, pokemon!
I played fire red as Red cause hes gender
And i played sword as Gloria cause shes gender
Ans I played ZA as myself! With my monochrome hair and combat boots, jeans and cute formal top.
I basically looked like i was either about to invite you to dinner, or beat the heck outta you.
It was so much fun.

Non-binary joy is realizing that I don’t need to be tied down by one set of pronouns and that i’m allowed to experiment! also learning that no pronouns is a thing!

nonbinary joy is realizing that, even if you’re “unnatural” you’re still a person, and that you are actually ALLOWED to be this way. no strings, no attachments, you can just… be. :3
