Is it cringe of me that whenever I think of my chronic lack of ambition, I hear Coulson on his last breath saying to me, as he's bleeding out from a wound I inflicted, "You lack ambition"?

I find it very odd that Loki's mysterious gap year between Thor and The Avengers is something that no writer since The Avengers has ever bothered to touch or explain? I get that this is the MCU and none of the writers really care about individual characters but Loki went into a wormhole and came out of it a year later with an entirely new motivation and a mysterious shadow boss, doesn't that intrigue anyone in the slightest? Why is Loki's presence in the Thor post credits scene never explained? What was he DOING there?
I know right! He shows up sometime after the movie in the post-credits scene looking a bit fucked up with a forehead injury and bloodied teeth (how much after, do you think?), and interestingly, he only shows up as a reflection. Yet he is controlling Selvig already. What the fuck happened there?
And in A1, he comes through the portal. Do you think he'd been able to reach Earth physically before, or was it all some projection long-distance thing until A1?
I need to magically get good at video editting so I can make a Loki AMV to Leonard Cohen's First We Take Manhattan
Who came up with the whole Clint Barton likes to crawl around in the vents thing in those "Avengers + Loki living together in the tower" fics? Because it's so funny and improves upon said character. I just burst out laughing while reading fic.
I've been struck by a sudden and vivid scene of post-lose-call team movie night in communal tower-era avengers.
If I can drum up enough motivation and courage maybe I'll post it as a one-shot
I just realized something
In Avengers (2012) there is no scene where Steve specificalyl bonds with Natasha
(there is one where he trie sto get to know Bruce and there is one wher he kind a sort a bonds with Tony afterthe Helicarrier was attacked but he never realyl has a full conversation with Natasha)
-> Sure they can have gotten to know each other at any time between Stuttgard and them leaving for NY with Clint, there was time. But we don't see it
Why Does Steve need to bond with Natasha?
Becasue Steve trusts here judgement with Clint:
Why is that?
What made him trust her with something like that?
-> He met her on the Helicarrier wenn he met Bruce but no specific bonding, she is just some quipy SHIELD agent
-> She Piloted the Quinjet that flew them (to? and) from Stuttgard, no specific bonding, she is just some quipy SHILED agent
-> She was the one who kept teh coolest head wenn teh scepter started to influence everyone, but again, no specific bonding with Steve
-> She is at the table both times wenn they talk strategy, but again no special bonding with Steve
And that's it
After that he trusts her
Why?
And don't get me wrong
I love Steves and Natashas friendship
It's one of the many things that make WIntersoldier so great
But there is no reason for it here
SO
I propose that a scene is missing
There is behind teh scenes footage of maybe Loki getting teh scepter back? It's Loki in the lab with the scepter
SO
Presumably that was the moment Steve bonded with Natasha, and once "Loki getting teh scepter back" was cut, the bonding scene kind a dangled in midair without context (or it was deftly woven in to the rest of teh setpiece) and was cut too
