I have this little headcanon of Dr. Strange spending time with the Avengers and:
Tony: Hey, let me ask you something.
Strange: Yes, Mr. Stark?
Tony: Do faces come out of the rain?
Strange is not amused.
Steve is confused.
~~
Clint, every time he talks about Strange (when he’s in the room): Yeah, I was just talking about that with... uh... you know... -points to Strange questioningly-
Clint, every time he talks directly to Strange: Remind me again, what’s your name?
Sam sometimes does it, too.
So does Bucky.
Steve is always very concerned. He just doesn’t understand why they’re having so much trouble remembering Strange’s name.
~~
The Doors can often be heard in the background when Strange is around, suspiciously originating from Tony’s general direction.
~~
Strange finally gets sick of it all.
Clint: Put me back in my body, man! This isn’t funny!
Strange: Oh, it isn’t? I think it’s hilarious.
Clint: Look, it was all Tony’s idea, okay? I’m pretty sure he paid Sam and Bucky!
Strange: But not you?
Clint: ......No, I just thought it was funny.
~~
Tony (after plenty of admiration of his physical form): Okay, that’s enough, you’ve had your fun. Stop astral projecting me.
Strange: Are you going to cut it out?
Tony: Yes.
Almost immediately, everyone’s ringtone for Strange is changed to “People Are Strange.”
Iron Man is seen fleeing, cackling, with Strange in hot pursuit.
Steve finally understands. He gives the culprits the Eyebrows of Disappointment and a stern lecture. He secretly thinks it’s hilarious and leaves the ringtone. If anyone asks, he diverts suspicion with the I’m-100-And-Helpless-With-Technology act.
