#MarchMeetTheMaker Day 1: Story . #FangirlStitches started out as just me (Ros) designing patterns that I wanted to stitch. I’d seen the #pixelpeople style online and loved it for its simplicity. But the patterns didn’t have the right characters or the right costumes or enough detail or there just weren’t enough of them - so I decided to design my own. . Over the last 6 years, Fangirl Stitches has grown from just me designing patterns occasionally in my living room, to a four person team making kits, selling at conventions, dropping days at work, and buying houses with criteria including “a room for the business”. . Things have slowed down a little this year - I started a new full-time, high-stress job which I am really enjoying, but doesn’t leave a lot of spare time/brain power to grow FGS. However, it means that the other members of the team are stepping more into the spotlight.
