Lazy-ass me is only posting about a movie I've already seen a week ago (and on opening day, too), but anyway, I still wanted to keep the tradition of posting about the movies I've seen this year, so here it goes: #Avengers #AvengersPH #AvengersInfinityWar #InfinityWar is unwieldy -- that was a given from the get-go. Character development was not a priority because there's simply too many of them. Revelations and reunions (specifically Cap and Widow's return, IMO) are underplayed due to the urgency of the plot's situation. And you can't deny the fact that what really makes this film the big deal is the ten-year build-up and being the penultimate chapter to some of the characters we've loved over the years. And with its two-parter situation, it definitely feels like it's only half of a story. But I be damned if I say it didn't deliver, because it did. Two and a half hours feel insufficent, enough and too much all at the same time. Everyone was given a chance to make a mark and garner a laugh from the audience. The film knows its limitations in the runtime, and it knows its strengths in its characters and plot, going where superheroes aren't really expected to be. Sometimes I amaze myself because my works turn better than i hope it would. I still have a lot to learn but i know the passion will forever be there. I've never thought I'll be cosplaying Black Widow for almost 10 years now and we shall see the culmination today in Avengers: Infinity War.
