RP Status: Semi-Private

Aventurine RP is now closed to the general public. After taking stock of the mods and members’ busy schedules, we feel it best to make the group private so that we can operate it more casually. As it stands, we are only accepting new members if they have been referred by an existing member. We will not accept an application otherwise.

Modifications to the blog will be made throughout the next few days. We thank everyone that has expressed an interest in the group and helped to spread the word. If and when the group’s status changes, we will be sure to make an announcement.

One Year Anniversary!

Aventurine RP’s one year anniversary is coming up. We are taking suggestions on ways members would like to celebrate the ocassion. If you have any ideas for an activity or event, feel free to send them to this blog or bring them up in the skype chat. We can discuss them together and come to a consensus on how to commemorate our anniversary.

Movie & Game Night: START

The link to our Cards Against Humanity room has been posted in the skype chat. We’ll be playing cards from about now until 10 pm EST. Members are free to drop in when they have the time. 

This post will be reblogged later to indicate cards is over and that the movie stream is starting. We will also announce tonight’s movie at that time.

Movie & Game Night

We are looking at hosting a movie and game night this coming Saturday (09/12). The event will tentatively start at 8 pm EST with a few rounds of Cards Against Humanity. We will then shift to a movie stream at about 10 pm EST. Please let us know if you are available to participate by messaging the skype chat or sending an ask. Information on which movie we will be watching will be posted soon.

Feedback On Availability

To reiterate here, we understand that a good number of our members have returned to or will be returning to school. It is completely fine if your schedule is not as flexible as it used to be. But in order to plan future activities and maintain an up-to-date follow list, we need to be aware of how available our group members are.

Please let us know whether or not you are taking a hiatus (you do not have to state your reasons) or would like to leave the group. You can do this by messaging a mod over skype or sending an ask to this blog. Obligations can pile up or your interest may shift elsewhere –that’s how life goes. All we ask is to be made aware of intentions, so that we can have a better idea of possible participants for future events. We would really appreciate it if people came forward about their availabilty or desire to hiatus or possibly leave.

Looking For a Fall RP?

hey everyone, just wanted to say if you’re considering jumping into an rp for the fall (I know that tends to be a weirdly popular time for that sort of thing, despite school)  take a look at Aventurine RP. 

we’re a tumblr-based fantasy rp revolving around magic and a desert oasis (along with the dark secrets that the city’s government is hiding). the community is friendly and welcoming. we’re all open to rping with new people. a lot of friendships have started and grown during our ten month run.

Event 04: Tragedy! At the Festival End

It is the last night of the Summer Festival; with it comes the return of the final item to the Hero’s statue. Despite the military’s best efforts, the three sacred artifacts are joined together at long last and the truth unfolds. 

The Hero of Aventurine legend had never been Kvendi at all.

From the sheen of dragon scales sewed into the Cloak to the detailed metalwork of the illustrious Sword, it is clear that the Hero hails from the Fire Region. The crest located on the front of the Book shows her to be of noble, dragon birth. 

With the truth revealed, the Hero’s spirit thanks those brave few that sought out the three items of legend. Her ire sated, she revokes the curse on Aventurine and rests in peace. 

But all is not well, now that the citizens know the famous legend has undergone factual changes. Many wonder what other deceptions the Council has kept secret all these years.
