there’s something I’d really like to explore with how Jamie, Anju and Akira all come from families that used them as tools, crafting them to be literal and figurative monsters for the purposes of making them useful in fucked up power games

Anju, the one who escaped, but has only recently begun to truly put that life behind her, Jamie who has not escaped yet, on the border of abyss with the military firing him and his father, and Akira, who has become a monster and has only now begun to rebel

maybe more can come of that in a more casual context.

RP Status: Semi-Private

Aventurine RP is now closed to the general public. After taking stock of the mods and members’ busy schedules, we feel it best to make the group private so that we can operate it more casually. As it stands, we are only accepting new members if they have been referred by an existing member. We will not accept an application otherwise.

Modifications to the blog will be made throughout the next few days. We thank everyone that has expressed an interest in the group and helped to spread the word. If and when the group’s status changes, we will be sure to make an announcement.

One Year Anniversary!

Aventurine RP’s one year anniversary is coming up. We are taking suggestions on ways members would like to celebrate the ocassion. If you have any ideas for an activity or event, feel free to send them to this blog or bring them up in the skype chat. We can discuss them together and come to a consensus on how to commemorate our anniversary.

next month will be avenrp’s one year anniversary. and that blows my mind because like... in my head, I figured the group would be my last hurrah? because groups are commonly rife with petty drama... because I feel kind of old compared to other members... because I’m working towards putting myself in a better position career-wise and don’t have as much time or energy as I used to.

but I’m really glad aven’s made it all these months, quietly chugging along. and I melt inside when I think of the love, support, and care all our members have given to us. it’s been a really awesome experience having a place I can turn to and not have to worry or stress over what’s going on. I want to do something special to commemorate the group for it’s one year shebang... just don’t know what yet.

Movie & Game Night: START

The link to our Cards Against Humanity room has been posted in the skype chat. We’ll be playing cards from about now until 10 pm EST. Members are free to drop in when they have the time.

Looking For a Fall RP?

hey everyone, just wanted to say if you’re considering jumping into an rp for the fall (I know that tends to be a weirdly popular time for that sort of thing, despite school)  take a look at Aventurine RP. 

we’re a tumblr-based fantasy rp revolving around magic and a desert oasis (along with the dark secrets that the city’s government is hiding). the community is friendly and welcoming. we’re all open to rping with new people. a lot of friendships have started and grown during our ten month run.
