The African Hunting Dog alias African Painted Dog is a type of wild dog that is listed as an endangered species of mammal and are mostly found in sub-sahara Africa. It is know for its painted irregular fur pattern hence the name "Painted". They are generally small if compared to other famous wild predators, and know to have long/ tall legs and round- bat-ears. They are highly social animals and predators, with a group seen usually ranging to over 20 pax. They usually hunt in groups and they are known to be the most successful hunting predators with a success rate of about 80%. They are agile hunters and usually chase their prey to exhaustion. When making a hunt, they chase the prey in a circular form, where some of the members of the pax would try to out-run their hunt, intending to cut off the front would be exit, while the other members chase from behind and either sides. These African Painted Dogs most times tend to out-smart their prey, endure a chase and work in group and this is what usually makes them successful hunters. . . .
