For all those that are ignorant either by choice or just by not being educated, at one time this sign was advocated to be raised by people that were from this community that worked there raised thier children there made a life for their families there and some made it out and are in a better place today. But also many never made it out. Many lost their kids to the streets here, lost their ambition, their purpose in life, and fell victim to the evils around them. The value of all those years in living and building a community can never be rewarded in any way, but the putting up of the sign was a symbol of that way of life for decades. Who is anyone to come and ask to bring it down and push their might in the political world to actually get them brought down. We have an obligation to defend the people that came before us and lived through so many obstacles to provide a better place for our people. If you find hate in your heart for your self or our people then YOU need to do some deep diving into why you feel like that, do not underman the efforts of the ones that are defending YOUR existence and your ancestors existence. I am 53 years old, and I embrace all those young people who walked by us because change is going to come from them.
