“I’ve always said that it’s boring people that get bored,” Otto chimed cheerfully, nudging another shot towards Avery. Rhys was missing tonight, the three headed monster that was Otto, Rhys and Avery was lacking; but he refused to let such a thing bring down the mood. Enough drinks had him feeling fluid, Birdie’s had lost whatever grimy appeal that it had to the fuzziness of his vision: a smile split easily on his lips as he tipped back his drink. Thoughtfully pouring some salt out onto his wrist, he held it out for his companion, pinching a lime between his fingers to chase the tequila with. “And we’re certainly not boring. Whats on the agenda tonight? The princess with the bodyguard looking friends, or little Lord Fuckelroy over there who is drinking a—“ Otto squinted, “Is that boulevardier in a dive bar? Pretentious.”

“Smash.” Avery’s gaze suddenly cut over to Sage so quickly that she nearly spat out her drink— instead she leaned forward quickly, sputtering a laugh. “What, is that not what we’re doing right now?” She lowered her sunglasses on her nose as a group of rugby players from what she could only assume was some English school on holiday jogged by, getting their cardio in while treading shallow water. Her hand raised and she wiggled her fingers at a russet haired boy before turning her attention to Avery, “Okay, I’m sorry. I’ll actually listen now. What were you saying?”
