The Lads Are Not Ok
Wake Me Up || Cavery
As soon as Avery reached for the warmth of what should have been a body beside her she jolted up in the bed when her hands came up empty. Her eyes were immediately wide as she wondered if it had all been a dream only to scan the room and realize it definitely couldn't have been. She wanted to cry out for him but her throat was dry and the words stuck so instead she tried to force her pounding heartbeat to calm as she rose from the bed.
Blue eyes swiftly scanned the area and came to rest on her ring. Emotions swirled as she stared for a long time, minutes that seemed like hours. Then as quickly as she saw it she snatched it up, tearing a chain from around her neck and dumping the lame trendy charm it bore to replace it with the ring. Almost as soon as it was back in place, the ring warm and heavy against her chest she felt relief. Enough for her to actually think straight.
In Our Sleep || Cavery
Curled up beside someone, you would think that Avery would be warm enough but somehow she was still shivering. Maybe it was that she had gotten so used to being cold and alone lately as opposed to with her pack. The idea of being wrapped in a blanket was a norm to her. Sharing one on the other hand was definitely new. As the small blonde turned over she tugged the blanket right off of Cade and cocooned herself into it's warmth. A small sigh of contentment fell from her lips and with that she was drifting right back into a deeper sleep. All restlessness completely gone.
