anyway ended up using the model magitek bit as the base for the prop as it was the closest thing I could find that seemed to match the posability I wanted out of said prop to at least some degree, and the result of that is rather hysterical.

honestly I would've preferred adding my own bones to make all the links and everything possible to pose but the tools and documentation for doing so is... limited, to say the least

A sharp glare cuts through the humid night air between them, which only serves to spur his laughter on.

"Ok, fine. You aren't lost. Where are we, then? Mm?"

Thallon turns his eyes away, furiously studying the map. He doesn't answer.
