Change of Time | Avery & Juliana

She’s spent some time thinking and going around meeting people. She still hasn’t really shrugged it off, and hasn’t fully worked through her feelings, but she’s going to give herself time for that. And part of giving herself time is, of course, going to include plenty of going out and having fun. Even if it’s just by herself, because maybe that way she can meet some people.

Juliana walks into a cafe that she hasn’t really visited yet, wondering if there are different people here that she can talk to. She looks around, taking in how many people are here and whether they seem like they’re open to conversation or not. She doesn’t want to be rude or inconsiderate. It’s a cute cafe and she smiles a lot just upon walking inside. Lovely.

“I didn’t expect it to be this easy,” Noah remarked with a tilt of his head, his voice expressing boredom as he surveyed the mess, “Well, you’re still human after all.”

It was late in the afternoon that the second child of the Blackwell family took his newly modified car for a test run. It was a Pierce-Arrow Model 41 Convertible, a car from the 1930s and despite protests from the mechanics of how unstable it was, Noah insisted that it would be alright. He was, after all, an immortal and even the worst car crash would only do minor damage to him.

Going out of town was easy enough and the original vampire drove up the mountains to get a good view of the town from the overlooking cliff. It was also where a lot of the herbs used in apothecary and witchcraft can be found. So it was only natural that Avery Simmons would be there.

She had been collecting rare mushrooms and was about to walk into the forest when Noah’s car came rushing. As the mechanics have told the original how unstable it was, the car’s engine malfunctioned and went skidding sideways before crashing into the trees. 

He had expected her to do something, she was the Supreme after all, did she not possess vast magic and power? Was it not a Supreme who had cursed his family? Why did she not do anything?

”Awfully sorry there,” he offered ever so casually to the mangled body of Avery Simmons, she was pinned between the car wreck and a tree, “I’d turn you, but really, I’d rather you were dead.”

Dara was the type of person who hated to be alone. The rhythm of her thoughts would grow sour and thus, every waking minute she tried spending it with someone else. Training for the morning was finished and thus, she scrolled through her length contacts for a singular name -- Avery Simmons. If you’re not busy, come over. Door’s open. As the Original waited for the new Supreme, she crossed her legs to meditate. Having closed her eyes to concentrate before long, she heard the slam of the car door. And a minute later, the brunette’s familiar face came into view, “Long time, no see, chickadee. Can I get you anything, tea, coffee, Hennessy?” She mused offering the woman’s shoulder a squeeze as she nodded towards the island in their kitchen. A mischievous look flashed in the blonde’s eyes as started to pour herself a glass of wine, “So you won’t believe the things I’ve been hearing and seeing. First, it was me losing my friend’s engagement ring. And then apparently sweet Mrs. Whitaker's been cheating on her husband. And then the craziest of it all, homeboy Colton giving heart eyes to a pretty little thing. All these years he’s been married to his work, I almost couldn’t believe somebody managed to catch his eye. 💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?

Many different little things. Honestly, he uses the little things more than actually saying I love you out loud. It’s the way he says be careful, and what he does to keep them safe. It’s in the lingering soft touches and the stolen glances. Or leaving out a glass of water for the next morning when she’d had too much to drink, or memorizing a usual order. Just really little things.
