I’m addicted to redesigning these freaks.

I originally made the Avetherium and Vetusterra as a spec evo project but I’ve been finding that quite limiting. I’m obvi not motivated enough to draw them within the confines of those rules. I think imma start implementing some fantasy aspects to have fun with em again.

Don’t worry I still draw and think abt avetheriums!

Featuring a new species! I had the idea to combine the blunt snout of the carnotaurus with the flat face of an owl and ngl I think it’s pretty damn cool lol. Cheetahs also have pretty blunt snouts so I think having a flat-faced runner works pretty well biologically ^-^ I believe it has something to do with getting air into the lungs more efficiently as well as cooling down the brain.

Messy lil Avetherium redesign sheet!!

The nostrils have been replaced with a unidirectional intake and outtake system. The face is now fully feathered and is all around more fleshy.

I’ve been trying to stray away from “dinosaurs but with more leg.”
