A seemingly not so innocent act of attacking St Mungo’s had left Evan stunned speechless in all the best and worst ways. It didn’t take long for him to learn that it was Rookwood who was behind the genius take down. While he was being praised by the Death Eater’s in a time where he knew his friend needed it, it was hard for him to share the same celebratory response. Not when the attack had left Ophelia so close to dead. The utter lack of control was driving him mad. Usually the Death Eater’s planned big attacks, together. Usually he had more than a few seconds heads up. But no, Augustus just had to try to steal back his glory solo.

“What was that, huh?” The first words to come out of his mouth as he pushed Augustus roughly up against a wall opposite the front door he had just answered. After only a second of bypassing the questions to prove his identity, Evan had him by the collar of his shirt, knuckles white. “Had to be a big shot all on your own? What, wanted all the glory? Feel so pathetic about your betrayal you thought you’d have a bit of reckless fun?” He shoved him one last time before releasing him, taking a deep breath as he looked him in the eye. “Explain.”
