We want to wish a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and a happy Thursday to those who don't! Just like we did for Thanksgiving this year, we'll be skipping activity check tomorrow for this week, as we know this is a busy time of year for most. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday if you are celebrating and we look forward to going into our fourth year with running this group! Thank you all for being a part of our roleplay family!

Hello to all of our amazing and lovely players, first we would like to say that we are so very happy to have you all in our group and we love writing alongside you and your characters! We've grown from a very small group of four members (admins included) to currently the 18 members in the group today. And with that being said, while we are very happy with how well this group has been received and how much it's grown, to make things easier on us as admins, we are going to be capping the group at 20 members total. That leaves currently 2 spots left for additional members to join. We'll be updating the main to have this noted on the FAQ page and we'll keep track of the count as well on the OOC page. This is to keep the group from getting overwhelmingly large and to keep the sanity of us admins. We want to reiterate, we're extremely grateful to those of you who have come to join us, and we're glad you're here! We just need to keep things a little contained so that we can maintain the group and also be able to write our own characters as well with little stress. We hope that this doesn't upset anyone, though we understand if it's discouraging to anyone. Please know that we held off on making this decision for as long as we could.

Despite the graphic saying “activity”, this isn’t really so much of an activity check as it is an interest check. Seeing as we generally hold activity checks on Friday night, but had opened only a week ago on, there was no need to do an activity check this past Friday. And while the dash has been decently active this week, we’d still like to have everyone who is interested in sticking around check in with us before our first activity post this upcoming Friday. You can either let us know by simply liking this post, reach out to us on discord, or send a message to the main. Anyone who is at 7 or more days of inactivity and have not reached out to us in any way by Friday, May 12th will then be put on that activity check and have 48 hours to post or their role(s) will be reopened. Oliver Jones has changed from being an 8th grade English teacher, to being the 9th-12th grade art teacher at Ashford Valley Jr/Sr High School. There are a few slight changes with his character in regards to this - you can read his new bio here.
Olivia Weston's FC has been changed to Adelaide Kane and Owen Chang's FC has been changed to Remy Hii. Dakota Johnson and Ben Levin are now available FCs.
Don't forget, though it's not an official event, the town is having it's annual Independence Day celebration tomorrow with a parade, some vendors up by the fire department and high school, and fireworks at the high school tomorrow night! We've put together a map with the parade route on Main St, it starts at the beginning of Main St and ends up at the high school! The celebration also includes a 5k run in the morning (we don't have a route for that, but imagine it's along the parade route and on the town side roads maybe?), a chicken bbq with proceeds going towards the fire dept., and many small businesses along the parade route having sidewalk sales. There's no requirement to do any 4th of July postings/interactions, we just like to give everyone a chance to plot and have ideas for plotting if they so wish! You can view the parade route map here.
UPCOMING: ASHFORD VALLEY FIRE DEPT CARNIVAL
We wanted to give a sneak peek of the upcoming event, just in case anyone wants to plot interactions or anything with their characters. The carnival itself is running from Thursday, July 16th through to Saturday, July 18th, opening each day at 5pm and running until 10pm.
Though the carnival runs for 3 days, we figured to make everything easier on everyone and keep us all on the same page, the event itself is only for Saturday, the final day of the carnival. The last day of the carnival also ends with fireworks at dusk! So the event itself will take place in-game on Saturday, July 18th, from 5pm - 11pm EST; interactions for the event however will be able to start Friday, July 17th, at 12pm EST and run through to Friday, July 24th, at 11:59pm EST.
Just as we do with all of our events, we will make an official event post the day before the event starts, listing more details of what the event will include! You can also view the previous posts from when we did the carnival event two summers ago, here!
