Owen really had felt good about the decision at the time. Sure, he'd never had a problem with his normally jet black hair, but his choice of costume had called for green hair and, as a man that had never dyed his hair before, he figured why not try something new for once. Admittedly, he did tend to stick to routine more often than not. But now as he stood there by the bar sipping from his drink, he let out a soft sigh as his other hand raked through his hair self-consciously. "Ever do something on a whim then not be sure if it was actually a good decision?" he mused aloud to the person next to him with a small laugh, trying to ease his mind.

"Okay, I'm officially declaring that the most stressful minute of my night," she laughed to herself, taking a seat at one of the tables. "Trying to pin a tail on a werewolf while blindfolded and spinning definitely qualifies as an extreme sport. Have you played yet? I thought I was aiming for the tail, but I'm pretty sure I ended up giving the poor guy working the game an unwanted piercing."

Stevie had to hand it to whoever organized the event; there really was a little something for everyone. Games, food, drinks, and even a haunted walkthrough? His foot hesitated mid-step as he spotted the entrance, curiosity sparking immediately. Interesting, he mused, watching a few people disappear inside with excited laughter. Tilting his head, he nodded to himself before glancing at the person beside him with a friendly smile. “Thinking about checking it out,” he said. “You ever done one of these walkthroughs before? Can’t tell if it’s meant to be in good fun or actually scary.”

Okay, so the ski suit might have been a slight tactical error.

It had been an investment a few years back when he'd been working on a truly elaborate Luke Skywalker Red Five costume for San Diego Comic-Con that ultimately never saw the light of day -- tragedy -- and he'd been proud to pull it back out for his Ezra costume. Bonus points: it kept him warm enough that he didn't need an extra coat, and therefore didn't have one more thing to keep up with throughout the night.

Downside: the ski suit plus the fleece-lined vest were a little bit of overkill inside the Town Hall with decent central heating and most of the town milling around.

He'd unfastened the neckline and unzipped just enough that he could breathe again, silently glad he'd opted for the white tank undershirt, but further action was necessary to keep from overheating -- and that was his excuse for the cold beer he kept rolling between his hands. "For the record, I'm not allowed more than two of these, tops," he sighed, grimacing slightly. "The rest of the town doesn't need the reminder of how much of a lightweight one of their actual bar owners is."

Nick crossed his arms over his chest, bemused, and let his eyes wander idly across the set up of various games and activities. He'd skipped the last town hall hosted Halloween bash a couple of years ago, a combination of being overfocused on work getting the firm back on its feet and sheer laziness at coming up with a costume, but he'd managed to make it to last year's party at the fire house. He'd mostly been focused on the food everyone brought and the company though, so all this? He hadn't seen this many honest-to-god drinking games set up since college, and that was saying something.

"Good god, where do you even start?" he mused aloud, eyebrows raised as he took in eyeball beer pong and scary movie trivia. "Decisions, decisions..."

"They did the mash, they did the monster mash," Tina sung along to the song currently being played by the band on stage. "It was a graveyard smash!" She chuckled lightly to herself, shaking her head as she happened to glance at the person nearby who had clearly heard her. "Sorry, this song is so fun and catchy, can't help but sing along, right?"

Daria had been working at her booth most of the morning, which was right out in front of her café itself. And though she always gave her employees the option to have the day off themselves, there were a few who were insisting that she follow her own advice and to "treat herself" to the festivities. Making her way along the street, she saw a booth with some artsy, hand-crafted items and stopped to take a look. She sifted through a rack of tie-dyed shirts, pausing between two. One was a simple combination of peach and lavender with the words “be kind, drink coffee, repeat", the other was a very loud and very bold in neon yellow, hot pink, lime, and blue and it read, “Too much coffee, not enough filter.” She held them up side by side, then glanced toward someone browsing nearby. “So,” she said, tilting her head with a teasing smile, “should I pretend I’m sweet and well-adjusted, or just go ahead and warn people?”

"Why are you like this," she questioned the small goat she was currently trying to wrangle back into the long trailer that they'd transported the animals in. "We changed the locks, bought taller corral fences, and yet you still manage the impossible," she remarked with a small shake of her head. "You're not allowed in the corral anymore," she added before laughing as the kid paused and promptly stuck his tongue out at her before bleating quietly. Okay, so he didn't really stick his tongue out at her so much as stuck it out a few moments before he started bleating, but it was still a move that she couldn't help but laugh at. "Look, you have the whole trailer to run around in, but I'm not doing a repeat of last year, you little menace," she said before placing a brief kiss on the top of the goat's head and closing the trailer door, locking it tightly and relaxing against the door. At least he wouldn't be able to get that lock open since there was no way to reach it from the inside of the trailer; she was just thankful that she had looked over just in time to see Billy the Kid pulling the damn pin out of the gate to the corral. Looking up as she heard a familiar voice nearby, she smiled before pushing off the trailer and heading in their direction.

"Hey! How's it been out there so far?"
