crosswind landing technique tips? i just can't seem to do it right 😭
Its really hard to teach it properly over text, most people use either Crab n Kick, Aileron into the wind, or some combination of both Crabbing, being angling the aircraft's nose into the wind at enough of an angle that you don't get blown off centerline, and then at the last second, you "kick" the rudder enough that your nose becomes centered and you land on your mains
Aileron into the wind, is adjusting your bank angle as to do similarly, but you still have your nose parallel with the runway
Combining these two, you can crab for the most of the approach, and after kicking, use the Aileron into the wind to maintain centerline. if you're in a cessna, DO NOT WORRY about your bank, what you need and how far you can bank before touching the tip on the ground is a big difference. Even in a low wing your chance of hitting the wingtip on the ground is low. Just have confidence in yourself and the plane
hope this helps!
