Looking a #GREAT #place to stay in #Aviero #Portugal — dope! Then make a #HARD #PASS on #AllureRooms #hostel in Aviero. This place is #terrible and here is why: they advertise that you should contact them when you’re on your way there so their associate can meet you with the keys; the associate is late af. They #advertise you will have to share a bathroom; what they DON’T say is with how many people. We stayed on the second floor, which = several sets of stairs to get to. The key to get into your particular rented floor, is a #DIFFICULT #skeletonkey and the door is hard to get out of, too. #anxiety on 10. Then...the mold in the bathroom, piss-poor cleaning services: I had to beg for toilet paper, extra blankets and another heater (see examples in videos to follow)...the room was freezing. The #beds were small and you could feel the springs coming through the #cheap #mattresses (think twin-children sized mattresses), the #comforters and #blankets were not cleaned (found other people’s hair throughout🤢...and the futon felt like a bed of rocks. The 24/7 condensation build up in the #bathroom made for a LOVELY bathroom visit of slipping and sliding all over the place and a sink that was ALWAYS wet, as well. There were no instructions on what to do with the trash, so I asked the #housekeeper and with #major #attitude she snapped at me saying WE needed to take out the trash. She then asked (in Portuguese...I managed) how many #trash bag replacements we wanted. I called the management...very polite but over-promised and under-delivered; no refunds. The place is located on a slightly ratty side street...steps away from the train station.
