I wore the hijab from the ages of 5-19 by choice. For the past 10 months, I've worn the hijab on and off depending on if visiting my family. As a disclaimer, this has been my experience with wearing and not wearing the hijab, and you shouldn't take this as 'gospel' so to speak.
