Tips on using Pinterest despite AI increase
Heyo! I've seen a few people whether new or long-term users of Pinterest share their frustrations with the increasing number of AI images dominating search results. Whilst there isn't one answer to completely avoid the AI influx, there is a few ways to urge the algorithm to act in your favour. So you started a new Board, be it for art references, fashion, aesthetics or anything in between. And you've got 0 pins. So you go to the search bar and type in your query but the top page is mostly AI and not what you wanted. How do you begin curating your algorithm if its feeding you slop? The answer is in, filter the search by BOARDS.
Check out what other users have compiled together, you don't want to copy someone pin by pin but after checking out a few boards by multiple different users, you've started your own stash! Now you want to focus on your own niche, it may take 24 hours + to update but the next step in finding suitable pins is opening up your own board, then clicking on the "more ideas" option
I abuse this option like no other, its a quick and easy way to add pins and its specific to the given board. Eventually the more pins you add, the more niche to your taste its becomes - keep checking this out regularly! With luck, eventually your main Pinterest page will look something like this, curated to your tastes with very very limited AI images in your recommended
this can work for both smaller boards and larger boards though the more images in a board the more specific it will be. My own personal boards range from 50 pins to my biggest board of 4k. Good luck and I hope this helps some of you!
