Met On Pasio / TeamAcidburn AU, because i am playing too much pokemon masters ex and desperately want the boys to drop soon
Things that are acidburnAU canon:
-Grisham wouldn't have left the truck with Griselle willingly to go to the island for however long, he was an early Ring Abductee
-Corbeau jumped at the chance to go, Phillipe can handle the syndicate.
-Shads-short-for-Nightshade is from a weird league [Maritime] and a poison trainer / one of two champs. They're a ring abductee but they woulda gone anyways.
-during the team flare days, Grisham and Griselle's parents had them in an arranged marriage for the good of team flare. they were each others' firsts, but she was more into girls and the arrangement didnt really last after The Whole Ultimate Weapon Incident and everyone who arranged it and had expectations of them dying 🙃
-Grish and Corb have had a Thing for a few years that's basically a friends with bennies sitch they don't really talk about, just occasionally meet up. Pre-ZA they were both too caught up in their shit to be in a good place for anything more than that.
-Shads and Grish met on the island early on and ended up being roomies due to both needing a fireproof house and both speaking Kalosian [this is honestly mainly an excuse for me to practise french conversations in my head] [[Maritime League counts as a subsection of the gov so higher ranking trainers are expected to be bilingual]]
-they did not stay Just Roomies long
-corbeau shows up about a week later and things Get More Interesting
-since pasio has people getting legendaries they have Complex Feelings about, Grish ends up bonding with a shiny zygarde there. Shads ends up with a yveltal, and Corbeau xerneas. Grish is NOT HAPPY to initially see that friggin yveltal again!
-Jacinthe is also here because I think it would be hilarious for her to see Corbeau get a fairy legendary and be DELIGHTED and So Eager to teach him about fairy type care and he is seething about it.
-leagues work like a cross between the SAG [that bigger post] and professional wrestling, everyones name is unique, and the more names/costumes lean into the Bit the more likely they are to not break kayfabe. its also accepted that if you recognize someone out of leaguesona, No You Didnt, Be Cool.
-there is a league-run Cameo type site
-its common to have a reaction sticker set of your team
-Shads' [canon only] team is Sassy, Brick Shithouse the nidoking, Roast Beefs the lowkey toxtricity, Jellybean the shiny scolipede, Jimmy Juicearse the gengar, and Squarrrt the dragalge. If I'm feeling a little less canon-only, they also have Sarah the barrens-form victreebell [this is a joke re a local song + sarracenia], and Burnout the barrens-form revavoom/skidoom [ice/poison] and swap who to use for dif fights.
-Their leaguesona is a little dramatic cartoon villainess and trade off being the Acting Champ with Her Nemesis with cheesy takeover / defeat the villain plots, with whom they meet for drinks regularly to go over their schedules and think of the next plotlines.
-They also dress femme and makeup'd and use she/her in leaguesona while being androgynous with glasses outside of it. clark kent behaviors.
-They have salazzle markings tattood on but that's never shown on-camera
-They got ring abducted because they'd be more entertaining on pasio than the other guy and Lear didn't want to gamble on who had time off.

hahaha yeah from what I’ve seen it looks awesome, I just don’t want to invest the time (because I have so little ;-;) unless I know for sure it’s worth it. OK GOOD I THOUGHT SO BUT HAD TO MAKE SURE BECAUSE NOT ALL CG FANS LIKE IT???
