The music on @AWATEMUSIC's latest album Happiness will delight fans of Mos Def’s album The Ecstatic, both in the production and the quality of the rhymes. It’s rare to encounter an album where the producer is given space to shine in a genuine way, in this instance instrumental passages showcasing the solid production skills of @TurkishDcypha.

Recently yours truly had the pleasure of hearing Awate talk about his new album, and gotta admit, he’s a captivating storyteller. There was ample display of the reflective mindset his music is full of, however it wasn’t all seriousness, there were also jokes galore. Hadn’t heard Awate’s music prior to the listening party, definitely walked away a fan and that’s not something that happens often, honest. Anyway, don’t take TWST’s word for it, check out the album and see for yourself.
