I see a lot of criticism for Venom, specifically Eddie’s entire character (not on Tumblr, obviously, but YouTube and other places) and I never really understand it.

I mean, logically I can assume that people saw the trailer and went into the movie expecting something totally different then what they got. So maybe that’s where it comes from.

But from the very second that Eddie’s life started going to shit (due to his own shitty actions, applause movie) and then he just kept struggling until he unknowingly stumbled into this fucked up situation..... all I could feel was extreme happiness that they hadn’t cheapened his ark by having him just accept things and become all cool and shit.

Nah, our Disaster of a lad kept on freaking the Fuck out, ‘Nope-ing’ out of shit and just generally attempting to stay alive.

and you know what? Same. That’s exactly how I would feel in that situation and it thrills me that they put it into film.
