Rewatching the Memories World arc in the anime, I remembered that they added some ship tease between Isis and Mahad, and started thinking about it somehow translating into the modern world;
The idea of Ishizu being as obsessed with the Dark Magician as Kaiba is with the BEWD because of their past connection was too fun and stupid for me to resist (and I remembered after i finished the drawings that it is a little canon)

There is no denying that many respect Mahad for being such a powerful magician, even considering his young age. He is so powerful that he has to lock away some of his powers because he fears they will cause harm to those around him. Many of the other Priests are in awe of his power, and one of them is Isis.
Isis is the only priestess of the court, so she may feel more pressure to prove she is as capable as her male counterparts. Given the limited interaction we see between these two, there is no denying that Mahad respects Isis and her powers; however, his loyalty to Atem is greater than her plea for him not to confront Bakura. Besides Mana and Atem, she seems to be the only one to grieve his death.
Remember when the anime decided to make the ancient incarnations of the Dark Magician and Ishizu Ishtar an implied romance and never addressed it again?

Sometimes, she talked to the jars. They had people inside them, after all, so maybe they’d listen, unlike her father or the other elders.

who uses all the hot water: Neither—Mahaad can heat water with magic, and Isis doesn’t take long showers when she’s in the future.

who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: NA
who steals the blankets: Probably Isis, but she doesn’t move around in her sleep much.
who leaves their stuff around: Neither; they’re ridiculously tidy.
who remembers to buy the milk: Isis would do the shopping if they weren’t living in the palace.
who remembers anniversaries: They both do. c:
