Happy #thursday3! It’s @rukristin’s weekly self-documentation series where you share a selfie and three things about you right now. Here goes: 1. Speaking of @rukristin, #awesomeladieslive is next week, and I can’t wait to head to East Lansing to commune with her and other fellow crafty-ass creatives for the weekend. 2. This was the best summer I’ve had in a long, long time, but I’m still looking forward to fall. Ready for cooler weather, fall foods, and for all the TV shows to come back. 3. A friend from my college music major days reminded me today that we once performed and recorded a piece for flute choir and percussion that was commissioned for us by the famous composer Daniel Buckvich, and it was called “How Birds Can Take Their Own Portraits.” And I realized that in all the time we spent rehearsing and recording that piece, I never once actually imagined birds trying to take their own portraits. But I’m imagining it now, and it looks sort of like birds taking selfies for their own little #thursday3 projects.
