LIFE moves pretty fast. Yet many of us spend so much time trying to craft “surface” personalities to please others that we don’t spend a whole lot of time working on the things that really matter. Winston Churchill said “character is you you are when your alone in the dark.” This is the real deep stuff that you don’t tell anyone about: - Am I weak because of my flaws? - Can I be different than my parents want me to be and they still love me? - Can I actually walk the walk I say I do? - Am I as strong as I act? - Do people see through me? - Is it ok to be scared? - Am I doing my BEST? No matter what your questions, you can only control what YOU bring to the table. Your strengths, your weaknesses, your baggage and your accountability. Some of the wisest people I have met have so little in life but they have gained so much perspective by exploring themselves instead of accumulating possessions or playing a game no one can win. Think of it this way. If everything you do could be the LAST thing you do on earth, are you doing your best? From brushing your teeth to loving someone like you’ve never been hurt. How much effort you put into everything you do matters. It matters Because If you half- ass the small things it compounds. Weak thoughts lead to weak efforts to weak actions to weak character to a weak legacy. So everyday try to be a little more awesome.
