Awesomenaut.EXE
It all started a few days ago, this spiral of events. It was last tuesday as I recall, the day IT happened. I hopped onto my computer in the morning, like usual and decided to play one of my favorite games, Awesomenauts. As I logged onto steam, I noticed something peculiar Instead of my normal profile pic, there was a picture of a severed, blood spattered, hand. This creeped me out, but sadly, not enough. I set the picture back to normal assuming I had been hacked, changed the password, and continued into my library. Now my library is usually highly organized by category, but now there were only 2. Garbage, and Amazing. I first clicked on amazing, and the only game under it was Awesomenauts, the others were all under garbage. Now I was starting to be just slightly freaked out. I was an idiot back then and I hadn't known what was about to happen, so I clicked on Awesomenauts. I decided to go for quick game, like usual. When I got to the character selection screen, the only character that didnt have a lock over it like when it's already been picked our isn't unlocked was Derpl. I can't complain because, as you may know Derpl is my favorite. When I pressed tab to check the score board, all the others names were those of Dota 2 Heroes If I remember correctly, their was Drow, Antimage and Lich on the other team. My team was just me. Ussually when someone disconnects a bot replaces them, but the two slots were just completely empty with noone at all in them. At first I thought the others were just some sort of clan and that the lack of bots was some sort of server glitch but boy was I wrong. Since we were on Ribbet I used the jumppad to jump towards our tower. When I got there I notticed the typical robotic "creeps" were replaced with glitch boxes, similer to missingno from the pokemon games. I assumed that their sprite had just been removed from the data. The game went on for a few minutes normally, but oddly the other players were nowhere to be seen. Then, in chat, Antimage said "THE FUN ENDS HERE" in all caps. Than, in chat, someone not on either team, by the name Awesomenaut.EXE said "You shall pay for your betrayal" and "I see you enjoy Dota 2 more than me...". Than suddenly, out of my speakers came a loud sound, like that of someone crying. Than I noticed Drows Awesomenaut, in the art style of the game, that looked EXACTLY like Drow from Dota 2. She than fired some sort of icy arrow at me, killing me in one shot. When I landed on the landing pad, there was an enemy Awesomenaut. Not just a regular Awesomenaut, but a Lich Awesomenaut. He had blood dripping from his eye sockets and used the skill he uses to deny creeps, (I believe it's called devour) but not on a creep, on ME. My computer as a whole froze for a few moments, than a static sound came out of my speakers, getting louder and louder, until my screen flashed the message, "If you won't play me, than I guess you won't be playing any games any more" In red text... BLOOD red. Than I woke up. Looking around I realized it was only a dream. When I went to pull my blanket off I realized I couldn't.... because my hand was gone...
