Sitting in front of the wilting flame of the cast iron stove was a spectral thing draped in worn finery. It raised a skeletal hand to the heat trying to flush warmth and blood back into pallid hands with little avail. It heard him enter and turned to the entrance, snakelike eyes - slits in a hollow skull of alabaster - locked on him and a shiver ran through his guts as he knew that no matter the course he wasn’t ever going to leave that rotted cabin alive.
