Awkward moment of the day: (tl;dr) So my friend Erika and I were at Barnes & Noble and I was getting all excited to read The Last Airbender: The Search Part 1 where we get to find out what happened to Zuko’s mother, but before we even got a chance to sit down, a Vietnamese lady came up to me with her phone in her hand and asked me if I could help correct her grammar. I obliged, but not before the store manager came by with a suspicious look and asked if everything was okay, and I explained that I was simply helping this woman with her grammar. So it turns out that the Viet lady wanted me to help check her grammar in her texting break-up argument with her former player boyfriend, and that lasted almost an agonizing hour. I let it slip that I was an English tutor, and she excitedly asked for my phone number because she was interested in hiring me. Giving Erika a sideways glance, I gave the lady a fake phone number and name. Thank God the lady did not call my phone number to confirm it…. so anyways as Erika and I were done and started to leave, before we even got to the door, we were stopped by a security officer who asked us what was going on, and I explained the scenario to him, and later explained it to the manager. We all had a good laugh, but man that was just some weird shit. I didn’t even get to read a damn page. >_>
