Pet AU.

You have two cats named Alastor and Vincent, and they constantly fight with each other. At first, you only had Alastor, whom you found as a kitten on the street and brought home. For several years, you lived together as a duo, but since you often worked late, you decided to get another cat to keep Alastor company while you were away. So, you went to a shelter and adopted another cat, and when you returned home, you called Alastor to meet the new cat. Then the following scene took place :

Reader: Alastor, I want to introduce you to someone.

Cat! Alastor: *looks carefully at how you put the carrier and open it.*

Reader: *pulls Cat! Vincent out of the carrier.* Here, meet Vincent, he's going to keep you company. Now you'll have someone to play with while I'm at work. *puts Cat! Vincent in front of Cat! Alastor.*

Cat! Alastor and Cat! Vincent: *They look at each other and sniff. *

*Long pause. Then Cat! Alastor presses his ears to his head and slaps Cat! Vincent's face.*

Reader: Alastor! No! You can't hit Vincent!

Cat! Vincent: *pressing his ears to his head and hitting Cat! Alastor with his paw in response.*

Reader: Boys! Stop! *tries to separate the cats fighting each other.*

So, your plan to get a friend for your pet failed, and instead you got an enemy and a rival for your attention.
