I'm trying to put my schedule together to get fit while I go to school. I really hope I can stick to it. Do you have any advice to keep a routine fun? Here’s a secret that I don’t know whether or not is public knowledge: I actually hired a personal trainer to coach me for 16 weeks. Chelsealifts gave me a workout schedule to cut weight/get stronger as well as monitored my macronutrients.
My honest to goodness advice is either you commit to starting off your day with a solid workout (which is what I did), or do it at the end of the day as soon as you get off work. It takes ~21 days (three weeks) to start a good habit and stick to it, and that takes self discipline.
For me, my workout routine to cut weight involved mostly building muscle, i.e. lifting weights. AAAAA- how intimidating! (I’ll upload a post later for tips for that, no worries. I’ll tag you as well. <3) I’ll take it that most girls kinda veer towards the cardio machines because of the fact there’s so much testosterone on the weight floor. [You don’t want to embarrass yourself and the like, but I gotchu.] I’d have four different workouts for the four times I’d go to the gym, and each time I’d write down the weights I used. It’s kinda like competing against yourself, trying to just push yourself and get higher weights up.
Now… as for Tegan and Sara… well… ahaha. Since I’ve cut weight, Tegan and Sara have, well- shrunk. This isn’t uncommon, seeing as these lovelies are basically fat deposits. I’d suggest finding a good sports bra that can rein in these baddies and you’ll be set.
