I have just been having A Lot Of Feelings about these two lately. They just love each other SO MUCH.

Wait what do you mean liam picks sams characters?

Short answer: there is a running bit where Liam decides the race and class Sam will play for each of their campaigns!

Long answer: Liam and Sam have/had a podcast called All Work No Play that they started back in 2012, years before it became a CR show. In the second episode, or something like that, they mention that they are going to play D&D with Matt Mercer and some friends soon. Sam doesn’t know what anything is or what to play and jokingly says “maybe I’ll play just the worst, like what’s the worst one” (paraphrased) and Liam says “I dunno, gnome bard?”. That’s how Scanlan was born.

Then, for C2, they have slightly conflicting stories. Sam says that he asked Liam to pick a character for him again and Liam picked goblin rogue. Liam says it was just a suggestion of a cool idea. But, for C3 Liam fully admits that he picked robot cleric for Sam to play.

Which (idk if this is a real theory) actually gives some credence to a “the Menagerie is a campaign 4 playtest” theory because I’m pretty sure Sam said Liam picked that oneshot character as well.

In my wildest dreams, AWNP would get revival but now they'd do even stupider stuff for our enjoyment. I'm talking skateboarding, fabric aerials, clay sculpting, another one about massages bc that ep was hilarious, something about fashion, one of those treetop adventures, cosplaying bc why not, going on insane amusement park rides. I DON'T KNOW. I'LL HAVE ANYTHING.
