Kupier rolled his eyes setting his bag down next to his feet. The reef was interesting to day the least. He had expected to interact with any awoken that weren’t guardians, much less royalty. Still nothing ventured nothing gained, the human did after all try to keep an open mind.  “I didn’t expect to see you out and about, how you been Prince Uldren?” Kupier asked adjusting the hunter gear he had traded his robes for. “You doing rounds today?” Hazel eyes drift over to the other human who was setting up far too many candles then should be allowed.

     Of all the people she could have run into, she was a little surprised to see him standing before her. She couldn’t really tell how she felt seeing him. Truth be told, simply seeing him shook her a bit to forget that she just nearly ran into him.

     “Prince Uldren..!”

Isiel had immediately regretted her decision in going to the Reef when the awoken had latched on to her ship and threatened her. “Not the most pleasant people, huh?” she asked Circinus, taking his huff and nervous spin of the shell for answer.

Upon disembarking, she certainly wasn’t expecting to be greeted immediately, and definitely not by someone who looked higher up in rank than a patrol solider. Resting her hand on her hip, just above a hidden knife, she looked him up and down with a carefully neutral expression. “Isiel. And who are you?”

Kupier will have two settings, keep talking and fidgeting not looking at the person or, he’ll stare at them and  play with his necklace. He generally tries to answer to the best of his ablitly. If it has nothing to do with golden age tech or any of his other interest he will sit and listen.  He likes to learn and try to figure out the answer so that if the topic comes up again he’ll know the answer!

3. If you could jump back through time to save a loved one’s life, would you? Despite what it might to do the timeline? To everyone else? Do you believe it is their fate to die regardless?

His antenna lower, and he looks down to the floor. “I would... I-- I don’t think saving him would change much of other people’s lives, aside from...” He pauses, shaking his head, not wanting to mope.

“I definitely would, his fate was not to die, he had so much more in front of him and did not deserve to die, much less in the way he did, yet... He’s gone, I wish I could bring him back.”

5. Is it better to hurt others before they hurt you or let yourself be walked all over and hurt by others?

“This is an awful question.” He points out, no hesitation. “Nobody should be stepped over or hurt, and I would never hurt someone out of my own distrust-- That, that is not how I do things.” He pauses, looking off to the side.

“If I had to choose... I-- Would not hurt someone, no, I’ve been hurt by others, and I’m sure that’ll continue happening before I hurt someone myself, whether it be on accident or on purpose. I just can’t bring myself to doing such thing, you know?”

the cosmodrome has always been where he feels the most at home. the snow is too soft today to make any noise as he walks, and for that he’s grateful. even though it’s home, today the cosmodrome’s air holds a tension like gathered static. the Light itches at his fingers in response. 

Uldren Sov. the prince had went missing after the Reef’s clash with Oryx, and yet, here he is, making pacts and under-the-table deals. with the Kings, no less. he hadn’t asked the Vanguard’s permission to meet with the man-- he’d have been lucky if they let him. he’s a scout, sure, but his history with the house and responsibilities with the SIVA crisis would have tied him down. it’ll be a simple talk, a dissuasion. he had told Cayde, but they used to play their cards close to their chest together-- he trusted him, and needed someone to keep tabs on him if things were to go south. 

he shifts aside the cloth draping fallen wreckage and slips inside. a small space, big enough for the two of them. he doesn’t trust the prince to play fair, but he’ll control the area as much as he can. 

he rests his hand on Trespasser and waits.

“You haven’t been a Hunter long, have you?” The Masked Light-bearer said to the recently resurrected awoken “Taking risks is sort of the Hunter M.O., Newbie. Learned that lesson from a late friend.”

She hummed softly, tilting her head to the side as she thought of her life thus far. A small smirk tugged at her lips as she looked back at Uldren.

"What else is there? Existential bread?" She knew it was a stupid joke to lighten the mood, and it took all she had to not cringe at it herself
