in hindsight the avalon books are so dark considering they’re technically supposed to be for kids? like rereading cry of the wolf rn and there’s just. mass death and destruction in the shadowlands and a 12 (13?) year old adriane just walks through it and then gets attacked by murderous imps and almost dies like. several times. and then zach’s familiar actually does die. and the books just get DARKER from here?? lowkey can’t believe i was reading these in the second grade and all i took away from them at the time was “magical girls cool”

I got deeply invested in "A well oiled machine" after just reading the first part, so when I went to click on part 2 and realised there was no link, I was low-key devastated TT You're a really talented writer because you got me so hooked, but I'm also very sad I didn't get to see the ending 🥺
