This first single from teenage (I assume) duo Lexy and Stephanie is an independent release which is a fact evident from both the production quality and the fact that Nikki Minaj doesn't feature on the song in any way, which is standard for any release by Sony BMG, Universal music et al in the current musical era. While the track features some solid synthesizer playing and melodies, it's the girls vocals which makes the track distinctive. Hard to describe in words (just as the lyrics are hard to decipher in words), both girls sound like a cross between Enya and Jewel if both artists were whales and the Enya-Jewel-Whale hybrid had lost its calf and was attempting to call out to it. The girls environmental message is amplified in the video clip where the blue background is an allusion to the ocean, barren from overfishing and pollution, where two lonely orcas wail for their lost young with an emotion which they believe "feels like love". Of course the most stand out performance of these girls career, and probably the highlight of the Lexy and Stephanie experience, is by their orthodontist.
