Despite her hopes in consulting her father, Lilina decides that matters must be taken into her own hands. If it were Cecilia, she would suggest she do so.
A note is slipped under the door to Roy's dorm. She had no idea when he would see it nor was she going to take the chance to deliver it in person or simply knock.
Roy, meet me at the Goddess Tower tonight, eight bells before midnight. ♡ Lilina
Well, there was no going back now. She released a breath, staring at the door as if it were to open right then and there before leaving to prepare herself.
Roy had read the note about ten times.
He paced, as if there was some sort of strategy he needed to come up with, but there was none. Of course he should just go and play it cool, like he hadn't spent all day thinking about her note.
Okay. He'd faced armies and all number of difficult battles. Lilina liked him, right? So why was he so worried? He patted down his pockets, shoving a mint inside his mouth. No reason. Maybe he'd have mints before every meeting from then on.
He jogged up the steps to the Goddess Tower, arriving a few minutes early.
"Lilina?"
